GOV. FINTIRI INSPECTS NDIKONG, GONGOSHI ONGOING ROAD PROJECTS



Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Monday inspected about four-kilometer Ndikong rural road project and that of nine point three-kilomiter Gongoshi rural road which are under construction both in Mayobelwa and Yola South Local Government areas.

The projects were awarded among others across the state by the Fintiri led administration in collaboration with Rural Access and Mobility Project RAMP totalling two hundred and eighty one kilomiters and other sixty five river crossing roads.

Speaking shortly after the inspection in Ngurore town, Governor Umaru Fintiri expressed satisfaction with the level of work so far and believed that the contractor handling the projects will meet up with the timeframe of eighteen months.

The Governor commended the quality of work being carried out by the contracting firm and revealed that some of the projects will be completed in June this year adding that from the report he received, other similar awarded roads are steadily progressing in that regard.

He expressed worry that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the capital projects and other sectors of governance and life in general but however expressed happiness that his administration was able to fulfill some of its promises to the people.



Contributing, the Project Manager of the firm handling the project Mr Lee Xinching disclosed that the Ndikong and Gongoshi rural road projects will be completed in the next two months while others due to rainy season will be completed latter.

The Chairman of Mayo Belwa Local Government Council Mr Gerson Kasuwa in an interview appreciates the present administration for awarding the Ndikong road project and assured that the people of the area will remained greatful and supportive to Governor Umaru Fintiri.

The Governor was conducted round the projects by the Commissioner of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Pirambe in company of other top government functionaries.
