Govt to sanction soldier’s wife for sneaking in from Katsina


Ekiti State Government has said the spouse of a warrior, who brought Covid-19 illness from Katsina State, in spite of restriction of interstate developments in the state, will be authorized. 

The lady, who stayed with her better half working at Oye-Ekiti, was found to have gotten the pandemic after her significant other alarmed the team when she began indicating manifestations of the illness. 

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, who talked on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti, said the lady had submitted an offense.

"In spite of the fact that it was the spouse who cautioned us, it is an offense against the state and the Ministry of Justice will take fitting activities against her at the correct time", she said.

The magistrate said that the lady's significant other, who was the principle contact, had been isolated for 14 days as per the World Health Organization's rules 

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Health, Dr. Jimlas Ogunsakin, said that seven men, who strongly entered the state from Kano State and three ladies, who sneaked in from Oyo State, had been detached to contain the spread of the pandemic. 

Data Commissioner Mr. Muyiwa Olumilua said the legislature had comprised an Environmental Task Force to screen consistence with the utilization of face covers in broad daylight. 

He said beginning from Friday, the security organizations have been commanded to capture those not utilizing face covers, including that such individuals will be indicted.
