A University Don, Professor Ahmed Bawa Bello of the Department of Accountancy, Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, says Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has been paying the challenging #1.1 billion month to month in adjusting the obligations he acquired.
Educator Bawa who was talking only to NEWS PLATFORM against the scenery of COVID – 19 pandemic and its impact on the economy on Wednesday, said that right now, the administration of the day is engaging with the grand obligations profile acquired from the past governments.
He clarified that numerous individuals don't see how thoughtful this administration is to the government employees, saying if it somehow happened to be an alternate individual, February and March compensations would not have been paid in the state.
As indicated by him, the income of the administration has radically gone down, and included that numerous individuals don't have the foggiest idea about that the legislature is reimbursing the obligations acquired each month, saying that what is left toward the month's end isn't noteworthy.
He further called attention to that the administration needed to cause penances of every other use so as to take care of the compensation of the laborers, saying that there certain states and Federal Parastatals that have not had the option to pay rates.
Educator Bawa expressed that he is apprehensive if the pandemic (COVID - 19) isn't contained in acceptable time, the state and nation everywhere will fall once again into to downturn, saying that Nigeria relies to a great extent upon unrefined petroleum which as per him its cost had gone down to $19 dollars per barrel.
He uncovered that the general public is fortunate that the cost is currently going up, saying that the falling which was to a great extent brought about by the feared malady has affected adversely on the economy of the world.
