Dubious artist Afeez Fashola prevalently known as Naira Marley has consented to shoot a video against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in a joint effort with the Lagos State Government.
Marley told an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court in Lagos by means of an April 9 letter that he would make the video at his expense.
The video will be in fulfillment of part of the conditions for the state to pull back a social separating charge against him.
"I therefore attempt to join the Lagos the Lagos State battle against the spread of the COVID-19 by making a free broad media distribution towards the crusade against COVID-19," Marley disclosed to Chief Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa in the letter.
Mrs. Aje-Afunwa affirmed the withdrawal of the charge against the performer.
She additionally affirmed the withdrawal of the charge against Marley's co-respondents Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Babatunde Gbadamosi and his better half, Folashade.

Aje-Afunwa administered: "Upon the oral application made by the Director of Public Prosecutions in the interest of the Attorney-General of Lagos State in accordance with Sections 71 and 73 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Lagos State (ACJL) and as per the way that the three respondents have conformed to conditions for the withdrawal of the charge, the unchallenged application for withdrawal of the charge, leave is therefore allowed to the Attorney-General of Lagos to pull back the charge.
"The three litigants are thusly released."
She praised the respondents for "taking the way of respect by assuming liability for their missteps" which had made remedial equity conceivable.
The Chief Magistrate, reacting to an application by Adegboruwa, said there was no compelling reason to strike out the charge against the respondents.
"The request of the litigants have not been taken, so all the DPP needs to will be to pull back the charge," Aje-Afunwa included.
