13 Shila Boys in Police Net, Recovers Weapons In Adamawa

Recently established by the newly deployed police commissioner, the Taskforce of Adamawa State Police Command has arrested about 13 notorious Shila boys and recovered weapons, as well as 2 tricycles.

A statement made available to NEWS PLATFORM today by the command's Picture Creator, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said the team intercepted the Shila boys during their activity inside the state capital.
According to the release, several hideouts of the infamous Shilla boys located on remote sides of Jambutu, Doubeli, Wauro-Jabbe and Sanda Primary School in Yola-North and South Local Government Areas have so far been dislodged by the Command's Taskforce team and the suspects arrested.

This added that the Command had also recovered 2 tricycles with registration numbers: YLA 027 WZ and GRE 335 QE, 10 sharp knives, some quantity of illegal drugs and dried weeds suspected of being Indian hemp among others.
According to DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the police commissioner, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju, formed the team on the assumption of office to curtail the illegal activities of the boys by targeting black spots or hideouts, adding that efforts were stepped up to curb the activities of the hoodlums.

He thanked the general public and further vowed that after the investigation is over, the suspects will be charged, adding that the police will not rest before any gang leader is arrested.
