HAMISU IDRIS MEDUGU: A FORCE FOR GOOD AND OUR GATEWAY TO CONTENTMENT

The history of the world is summed up in the fact that when nations seek to be strong, they are not always just and when they seek to be just, strength becomes farfetched. Could this be said of Shuwa? No, it is unfair to think so.

God has been just to the people of Shuwa and that is where our strength comes from. Although in years past and even in recent times, the village has become a household name around this clime due to incessant insurgent attacks, the once peaceful and beautiful village has lost its luster.

The village's proximity to Madagali the Local Government Headquarters could be a very strong reason why the village appears porous to attacks and invasion, this is so because Madagali lays to the east of Gwoza LGA of Borno State going by political configuration.
Gwoza had been a 'Hotspot' for insurgent activities over the years.
Just to note and to avoid retelling tales of sad events, Shuwa has severely been hit and torn apart by  terrorism, the village has seemingly lost its former spark, but the dogma of a quite past are inadequate to the stormy present, the occasion before us seems piled up we must then rise up to the occasion.
We must first realize that everything in life is created twice, and I will tell you how? First in the mind and then in reality. And for the hardened skeptic, Shuwa has been destroyed twofold, in his mind and in reality. But for someone who is driven by positivity, Shuwa would only appear to be destroyed in the physical sense and not in his mind or thoughts; for our thoughts are living things. Winston Churchill once said; that the price of greatness is the responsibility over each of your thoughts.

We are called to redirect our broken hearts and be inspired by some great purpose, how will that come to show? We must learn to clear our vision, how? Only when we look into our hearts as a people, for he who looks outside is 'dreams' and he who looks inside 'awakens'.

As a people, the justice and success we seek to find must come from among and within us, for success on the outside means nothing unless it comes from within.
Interestingly, Shuwa has been blessed with persons who are driven by priorities, people who have already taken the starring and are for sure and in truth orchestrating the renaissance of social, economic and cultural facets of our blessed land.
I will be remiss if I don't single out Hamisu and Aminu, these two are a force for good. You two possess firmness and virtue. And I only wish to find time to stop and thank you for making a difference in our lives.
Worrisomely, too many of us are looking for some magical rose garden on the horizon rather than enjoying the one growing in our back gardens, am guilty of this crime too. Hamisu to be specific is our magical rose garden and an oasis of enlightenment as youths.
He has often risen to the challenges of these times headlong and has taken up the campaign to tailor back into shape the once torn fabrics of oneness of the Shuwa Family Social Agenda and Adamawa north senatorial district. His goodwill and philanthropic character is unmatched, the admiration of very youth, a community mobiliser whose extraordinary thoughts break bonds, his mind transcends limitations, his consciousness expands in every direction, and because of all you have been doing, the people of the Northern senatorial zone are already making up a leverage on your philanthropic nature as a precursory attempt to have you lead them, you have earned their trust I make bold to say, this is the most important indicator of a true leader, a trusted servant of his people. “a man after his people’s own heart”. What is most striking about you is the priority you have placed on others rather than on your own self. You have a rare display of selflessness and sacrifice.
Someone had a better glimpse of the light when in a private conversation casually stated, “Hamisu knows no favorite, for he carries everyone along, the young and aged, male and female and all people of different ethnicity and faith. That never made any sense to me until on different occasions and to my greatest chagrin I realized how much your visionary act of kindness means to the entire people of the Northern senatorial zone and not just to the people of Shuwa and Madagali.
Come to think of this yourself, the most acclaimed definition of democracy as insinuated by Abraham Lincoln at Gettysburg while honoring the soldiers that sacrificed their lives for the nation, he at a point of that eulogy agreed that indeed, democracy is a government of the people, by the people and for the people. This undoubtedly fits perfectly to the life of Hamisu.
He has always been the man of the people, chosen by the them to once again rekindle their lost prosperity dreamworld. The people of the northern senatorial zone will surely find themselves in a new, great and wonderful world for we have discovered you as our guide to hope in a time of despair.
